Carbon Positive
NSW’s forest industries are carbon positive – storing carbon in the growing forests and in the products produced from them.
Regenerated
All NSW forests are replanted (plantations) or regenerated (multi-use public forests) after harvest.
Timber processing
Timber processing includes softwood sawmills producing structural timber for construction, hardwood sawmills producing appearance grade timbers, engineered wood products and pulp and paper processors.
